The PAX series of gaming conventions happens across the world throughout the year, and its Australia’s turn from 27 – 29 October 2017. Created by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, authors of the popular web comic Penny Arcade, PAX focuses on supporting and celebrating video and tabletop gaming.
“Since PAX’s inception, millions of attendees have enjoyed the expo floor halls filled with booths from major game publishers and independent developers, panels from video game industry insiders, game culture-inspired concerts, LAN parties, tabletop gaming, competitions and much more,” PAX explains on their website.
PAX Australia features an exhibition hall with exhibitors ranging from AAA publishers and developers behind the latest blockbuster games, to the innovative indie teams disrupting the industry. For those that are interested in how videogames are made, the technology behind them or gaming culture, it also features a number of informative panels.
The exhibition space also features a Diversity Lounge, game pin trading area, an Arcadia scavenger hunt, the PAX Handheld Lounges for everything about handheld gaming, a PC LAN area, and play areas for tabletop gaming and console games.
